How to use Akon
Preparation and Lubrication
Clean before first use
Wash Akon with warm water and mild unscented soap. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Platinum silicone is non-porous and won't harbour bacteria when cleaned properly.
Use water-based lubricant only
Always use water-based lubricant with platinum silicone toys. Silicone-based lubricants can degrade the surface texture over time.
Apply generously
Apply lube to both yourself and the product. More is always better. The Sil-Slide outer layer responds beautifully to adequate lubrication.
⚠️ Never use silicone-based, oil-based, or petroleum lube with silicone toys. Water-based only.
Using the Suction Cup Base
Choose a smooth, flat surface
The suction cup works best on non-porous smooth surfaces — bathroom tiles, glass shower walls, mirrors, or smooth floors. Textured or porous surfaces won't create a strong seal.
Wet the surface slightly
A small amount of water on the surface before pressing the cup down creates a stronger vacuum seal. Press firmly, twist slightly, and test the hold before use.
Harness-compatible
Akon is also compatible with most O-ring harnesses. This makes it suitable for strap-on use for all genders and body types.
Cleaning & Storage
Clean after every use
Wash with warm water and mild soap immediately after use. For deep sanitisation, platinum silicone can be boiled for 3 minutes or placed in the top rack of a dishwasher (no detergent).
Dry completely before storage
Pat dry with a clean lint-free cloth. Ensure it's fully dry before storing to prevent any moisture build-up. Air dry for 10–15 minutes after wiping down.
Store in the included pouch
Store Akon in the satin storage pouch included with your order. Keep away from other silicone toys (silicone can bond with other silicone), and store at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
